Every now and again you get the chance to witness art and communion in its purest form. A handful of weeks ago in the quiet WESTVIEW neighborhood of southwest Atlanta I got the opportunity to do just that. 40 or more music lovers gathered in the living room of local realtor and Sofar Host Dawn Hazeltons’ house and shared laughs and friendly conversations while awaiting the musical selections of the 3 FEATURED ARTISTS. This was my second Sofar experience and just like the first show, I looked forward to meeting the talent seeing as to how they weren’t revealed until the day of the show. I find this feature of the Sofar platform to be especially effective when it comes to building audience anticipation. Each artist brought their unique sound to the room, and I must say that none of them disappointed in the slightest. The sounds were soulful, melodic and lighthearted. If you aren’t familiar with the Sofar platform, I highly recommend that you acquaint yourself with them!
