Daily Reflection

When I look back over the past few years, I realize that I have come a long way from where I was (quite literally)! This time 3 years ago I decided to relocate to Los Angeles from Atlanta, Ga. In addition to moving to the West Coast, I simultaneously switched career paths and ventured into the health & wellness industry. Initially I was a bit unsure as to how the transition would go, nevertheless I was open to experiencing something different. After being in LA for 3 months I eventually landed a job as a Personal Trainer at one of the hottest gyms in the city (Equinox West Hollywood). While working there I learned a lot about fitness and the ins & outs of the luxury gym environment, but most importantly I gained a greater sense of who I could become and what I could achieve if I set my mind to it.

It wasn’t long before I decided that I wanted to use fitness as a conduit to inspire, educate and motivate people outside of my immediate circle of influence. This desire led me to launch my own personal training & coaching brand called THE HEART WERK. Since formation I’ve had the pleasure of training music and film celebrities like Ty Dolla $ign, Will I Am (Black Eyed Peas), Gerard McMurray (Director of The First Purge), Isaiah John (Snowfall on FX), Tristen Winger (Insecure), Novi Brown (Sistas on Bet), Geffri Maya (All-American), Skye P. Marshall (Good Sam on CBS), DeMarco Morgan (CBS Los Angeles), Carmen Carrera (Fashion Model), as well as many other phenomenal clients. I am grateful to each and every one of them for allowing me to invest positively into their lives and thankful that they have done the same for me. I greatly contribute my success to hard work and dedication. Moreover, I value the fact that I was able to incorporate personal development strategies into my process that helped to assist with my growth as an individual and as a business owner as well.
